Name: Rene Nezhoda
Born: April 5, 1977
Occupation: Reality television star, author and entrepreneur
Rene Nezhoda was born on April 5, 1977 in Vienna, Austria. He is the son of Gunter Nezhoda, an actor, and Johanna Meyer, and he has one sibling, Ricky.
When his parents relocated to the United States, they settled in Nevada. He attended Las Vegas High School and graduated in 1996.
He has been married to Rene Nezhoda since 2011, and they have one daughter, Tatiana. The family presently resides in San Diego, California.
Rene’s career in antiques started when he was just 11 years old. He bought and sold a wide array of antiques and collectibles, helping him form a catalogue “of second-hand prices in his head.” Rene, alongside his wife, eventually started their own business called Bargain Hunter Thrift Store. The 7,000-square-foot business maintains an inventory of antiques and collectibles.
Rene and Casey joined the cast of A&E’s hit reality television series “Storage Wars” in 2013, though the producers had been trying to nab the duo since the first season. The couple continue to appear on the show, and their popularity has given their store a boost in tourism and sales.
In addition to owning and operating a store and starring on the TV program, Rene wrote and published a price guide on Limited Edition Casino Chips.
Outside of the antiques business, Rene and Casey are deeply religious, attending church regularly. They are outspoken about their faith and they tend to share an abundance of messages about God on social media. Their daughter always accompanies her parents to church.
We estimate that Rene Nezhoda’s net worth is $1.5 million (2017).
So how much is $1.5 million really?
$1.5 million can open a couple of additional Bargain Hunter Thrift Stores in California or elsewhere around the United States. $1.5 million can also pay for the per-season salaries of several “Storage Wars” cast members.
